Florida's Largest County Selects CSI for Privacy Protection and Document Searchability

Computing System Innovations (CSI), America's leading provider of intelligent redaction solutions, is pleased to announce the Miami-Dade Clerk and Comptroller's selection of CSI to provide privacy protection and document searchability for its court records. The Miami-Dade Clerk's office will use CSI's software, Intellidact®, to automatically remove sensitive identity information and provide searchable PDF documents, readying their court records for Internet accessibility. Intellidact will redact and convert both e-filed and traditionally filed court documents in cooperation with the Clerk's Tyler Odyssey® case management system.

Intellidact, using sophisticated intelligence, properly classifies documents and identifies fields containing sensitive information. Four advanced character-recognition engines (i.e., machine, handprint, MICR, and cursive script) locate and vote on data providing the highest quality text for automatic redaction, indexing, and searchable document creation.

Intellidact can create a new redacted version of the original document, or provide text coordinates and confidence values which can be saved into a repository or delivered to application systems for further use. Intellidact provides high volume, high speed, high accuracy unstructured data recognition to rapidly locate and reliably find information within any PDF, TIFF, Microsoft Office, JPEG, or GIF image file.

"When it comes to redacting personal identifying information from court files, it's important to get it right. With CSI, we know that we're getting the best redaction technology on the market from a company that has a proven track record of successful implementations," said Tom James, CIO of Miami-Dade County.

"We are pleased to be recognized as having the leading technology by Miami-Dade," said Henry Sal, President of CSI. "We look forward to providing Intellidact's specialized document processing technologies and redaction features as Miami-Dade prepares their court documents to enter the Internet age."

CSI recognized the alarmingly increasing problem of Identity Theft crimes in the early 2000s. In response, CSI created Intellidact and processed America's first successful automated redaction project in 2004. Intellidact continues to lead the industry, providing the most cost-effective, high volume, high accuracy redaction solutions with the least amount of manual verification required.
