Quad Capital, a firm that matches skilled trading professionals with its proprietary trading model, has launched Quad Securities, a new entity owned by Quad Capital management together with high net worth individuals and family offices.
Quad Securities will enable qualified investors to participate in the proprietary platform that has attracted a number of experienced traders to the Quad family.
"The crown jewel of Quad Securities is our emerging manager platform," said John Guarino, one of two managing partners of Quad Capital. "Our skilled traders manage portfolios which can range from $10 million to $100 million. The manner in which we allocate capital is scalable. We become partners, in essence, with our traders and have a vested interest -- for our firm -- in their success."
In the unique structure of Quad Capital/Quad Securities, Quad traders manage both Quad Capital and Quad Securities funds, as well as the potential to manage funds from outside hedge funds and other investor sources. By using Quad's proprietary risk models, traders are able to allocate funds among multiple strategies, including international and US equities, foreign exchange, options, commodities and futures.
Traders at both Quad Capital and Quad Securities go through a rigorous screening process before joining the firm.
"We are very strict and disciplined in the individuals we attract to manage our portfolios," Guarino added. "We provide traders with coaches, proprietary analysts and the tools to provide them an environment that allows them to grow as traders."
