DecisionWise, Inc. Officially Releases New Employee Engagement Survey

PROVO, UT, United States, via eTeligis Inc., 05/20/2014 - - After more than a year of psychometric analysis and design, assessment teams and organizational psychologists at management consulting firm DecisionWise, Inc. have deployed a new baseline employee engagement survey. The survey is designed to accurately measure employee engagement and the five keys most impactful in driving engagement, while also allowing organizations to customize the tool to their own needs and culture.

"Our recent research on the importance of meaning, autonomy, growth, impact, and connection to employee engagement are incorporated into the new survey. This allows organizations to easily identify the drivers that have the most impact on employee engagement," reported DecisionWise Global Employee Engagement Architect, Dr. Paul Warner, who led the survey design process.

The survey employs 50 items using a traditional five-point Likert agreement scale, and typically includes two open-ended questions to capture rich, candid feedback from employees on any organizational level.

"Open-ended comments provide the meat of the data for any employee survey process," said Tanille Rodman, DecisionWise Assessment Consultant. "Candid, qualitative employee feedback reported verbatim can be used to add further understanding and nuance to the quantitative feedback. We also find that organizations that make good use of open-ended questions are able to identify quick wins, or areas that can be immediately addressed to improve employee engagement and trust in the survey process," she continued.

The new employee engagement survey is available as a standard offering to all DecisionWise clients beginning an employee survey process. At the start of each employee survey project, a DecisionWise assessment advisor leads a survey customization process to optimize the standard survey to meet organization-specific needs. "We have a rich conversation about the organization's current culture and recent initiatives. These factors influence the type of questions that are used on the survey to provide relevant and actionable feedback to the organization," notes DecisionWise Director of Client Services Kristin Chapman.
