Zac Efron Fought Off Homeless Attackers With Vodka Bottle, Claims ‘Bodyguard’

(Getty Images) The purported “bodyguard” who was with Zac Efron when the actor allegedly got into an early morning brawl with homeless people in the dangerous Skid Row neighborhood of Los Angeles claims the star acted heroically and saved his life. TMZ spoke with Efron’s companion, who asked not to be named and has a criminal record for drugs and violence, and was told that the pair were on their way to a restaurant in downtown L.A. when they ran out of gas. Efron’s car was stopped at the bottom of an off ramp when a group of transients supposedly attacked. The “bodyguard” tells TMZ the homeless men came after him with a “spear,” purportedly stabbing him in the face, stomach and chest. According to this version of events, Efron got out of the vehicle and fended off the attackers with a vodka bottle. Efron, who was in rehab last year, has yet to say anything about the incident.
