Lindon Group Inc. and Alternative Hydrogen Solutions, LLC Announce Commencement of Army-Funded Testing of Hy-Impact System

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI, United States, via eTeligis Inc., 06/25/2014 - - Lindon Group Inc. and Alternative Hydrogen Solutions, LLC (AHS) are pleased to announce the kick-off of the U.S. ArmyProgram Management-Mobile Electric Power (PM-MEP) funded evaluation of Alternative Hydrogen Solution's Hy-Impact Unit. Unavoidable delays, including a reconfiguration of the outdoor testing area, pushed the initial commencement date to the right. The Department of Defense (DoD) is interested in hydrogen's potential to reduce the emissions of diesel exhaust particulates while improving fuel consumption and engine performance. As a result of this interest, the DoD has funded and outlined an evaluation program assessing the Hy-Impact unit's effect on mobile diesel generators. The DoD will implement the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) processes to determine the various physical and chemical properties of the fuel planned for use during the entire evaluation test program. The ASTM processes will precisely quantify the Hy-Impact unit's effect on the cetane number and exhaust emissions. The DoD will also employ its MIL-STD 705C, 670.1, 690.1 test methods to establish the standardized specific methods for measurements associated with the evaluation of the generators and related components to precisely determine the actual fuel consumption and overall engine performance.

Lindon Group believes the Hy-Impact unit will be able to assist the DoD reduce its carbon footprint, overall fuel consumption and increase genset engine performance. Successful results of the test will give the Hy-Impact Unit an important 3rd party verification and validation of its ability to reduce harmful exhaust emissions and improve fuel economy in combustion engines. AHS and the Lindon Group reported in a combined statement, "A lot of hard work has been put forth in order launch this DoD evaluation and we are ecstatic that it has finally begun. We will continue to be very involved in the Hy-Impact's progress." To date, the Lindon Group Inc. has represented AHS on this endeavor and will continue to be the principle point of contact for the DoD going forward.
