The rise of the digital age has been tough on the U.S. Postal Service. But the USPS showing that it has a good sense of humor about it by issuing a stamp emblazoned with Steve Jobs' face—coming to a thank you note near you in 2015. Stamps are chosen by the Citizens’ Stamp Advisory Committee , which is made up of people appointed by the postmaster general (usually designers, museum curators, academics, major stamp collectors, and former postmaster generals). The committee considers "every stamp suggestion meeting criteria ... regardless of who makes it or how it is presented" as part of "its role in portraying the American experience." According to a document obtained by the Washington Post , Steve Jobs will be featured on a stamp in 2015 along with Elvis, James Brown, Johnny Carson, Ingrid Bergman, science fiction writers, summer harvest fruits, and more. It's unclear how Jobs would feel about this honor, but if you want to see more or less Jobs postage, you can submit suggestions to the advisory committee. Its webpage lists the mailing address, but no email.
