Wytec Submits Proposal to Homeland Security

SAN ANTONIO, TX-- via eTeligis - Wytec International, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Competitive Companies, Inc. (OTCBB: CCOP) (OTCQB: CCOP), today announced it has submitted a proposal to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program.

"Our successful network trials in Columbus, Ohio are strikingly similar to the DHS SBIR initiatives, which are about scalable network architectures and prototypes that allow first responders to connect via wearable technologies," said William H. Gray, President and CEO of Wytec. "We were approached by an internationally recognized research institute to pursue this opportunity because of our network scalability and throughput capabilities."

The institute's facilities provide proven research methodologies and testing facilities, and the institute has experience with product commercialization. These benefits complement Wytec's expertise with high-level network architectures, which are integral in the three-phase DHS program. Wytec's joint proposal includes standards definition, reference designs, compliance test models and a standards codification process for the integration of first responder wearable devices, vehicular devices, Land Mobile Radio ("LMR"), wireless data-offloading infrastructure and cellular infrastructure using smart phone and carrier-grade Wi-Fi data-offloading technology.

Phase I begins with a $100,000 grant for continued program design; Phase II awardees of the SBIR are awarded $750,000 to $1,000,000 for the successful testing of network prototypes. Wytec has included in its proposal its LPN-16 radio, which greatly enhances network scalability and small cell site location capabilities.

"After advancing to Phase III of the program, Wytec would be in a favorable contracting consideration with DHS, as well as with other U.S. government agencies needing similar communications requirements such as the Department of Energy and the Department of Defense," said Angus Davis, Chief Strategy Officer of Wytec International, Inc.
