I Link 2 Music Appoints Radio Icon Damizza as Director of New Media Development

iL2M International Corp. (the "company" or "iLink2Music.com") (OTCQB: ILIM), an emerging music entertainment and social media company, announced today that it has appointed Damion "Damizza" Young as Director of New Media Development and Content Strategy.

When asked where he got his start, Damizza credits his rise to meteoric success to his grandmother. "My Grannie has been my rock," he says. "She's the single biggest influence on my life always telling me I could do anything I put my mind to." By the age of 12, Damion was the youngest part-time commercial disc jockey in the world; by 17 he was program director of KHTY FM in his native Santa Barbara, and helped develop what is now popularly known today as the "Alternative Radio" format. Along the way Damion is credited with helping bring then-unknown acts such as Nirvana, Hootie and the Blowfish, Fiona Apple, Collective Soul, Garbage and others to the world stage.

Prior to joining iL2M, Damizza moved to Los Angeles as the Senior Director of Programming and Artist Relations for the Los Angeles hip-hop station Power 106. Less than two years later, it was the hottest hip-hop station on the planet, and Damion was named the fourth-most-powerful-person in hip-hop by The Source magazine.

And no wonder: He helped Jay-Z find an international audience, he helped Janet Jackson rekindle her career and most remarkably, reunited Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg for their smash Chronic 2001 record and tour. He was also tapped by Dr. Dre for advice on 'how to break the white kid from Detroit' and introduced the world to Eminem.

With Power 106 at the height of radio success under Damion's musical direction, his keen ear and instinct for what music fans wanted to hear crossed barrier after barrier. He was also asked to begin producing records for some of the biggest stars of the day, including Ice Cube, Snoop, Korn, Nate Dogg, Ludacris and Mariah Carey. Mariah's No. 1 smash "I Still Believe" was one of Damion's highest-profile achievements as a remix producer. It was during that record, in fact, that Mariah coined the nickname "Damizza" for the man who would get her career back on track.

"After the success of bringing Jay-Z to an international audience based on his affiliation with Mariah, and Mariah to the street audience, she hired me full time after what happened with Glitter," he says. "I was asked to be the architect of her re-emergence and the rebuilding of her career that kicked off with her singing the national anthem at the super bowl after 9/11."

Damizza was sent to rescue Power 106's New York sister station, Hot 97, which was embroiled in major clashes and boycotts by industry heavyweights at the time. Almost overnight, he was widely credited as one of the leaders of the movement bringing an end to the East Coast/West Coast beef, pairing rappers such as Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg, Biggie and Snoop, Puff Daddy and Xzibit, and others.

After bringing back success to New York's #1 Rhythm Station, Damizza focused on his nascent Baby Ree record label. Surprising many, he abruptly announced his "retirement" and resigned from Power 106 and the industry. He wasn't yet 30 years old. Six months after he was gone, Power dove from No. 1 to No. 12 in the ratings and has yet to recover in the rating wars.

Since then, Damizza has produced and done projects with singing legends Eric Burdon, Terry Reid, P.F. Sloan, Bob Geldof and his Baby Ree Recordz distributed the highly acclaimed L.A. Blues Alliance produced by TV theme master Mike Post (Law & Order, NYPD Blue, The Rockford Files, L.A. Law, Magnum, P.I., Hill Street Blues, etc.). The album featured Keb'mo, W.G. Snuffy Walden & Stanley Barhens.

In between his work for charitable organizations, including the United Nations' World Food Programme: Fighting Hunger Worldwide, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Teddy Bear Cancer foundation, Jim Brown's Amer-I-Can Foundation, among others, Damizza decided to tell his life story with writer J. Marshall Craig. GUILTY BY ASSOCIATION shook the music world when it became tabloid fodder, courtesy the National Enquirer's front page, described it as a "tell-all" outing intimate secrets of, particularly, Mariah Carey. "It was nothing of the sort, of course," Damizza says. "I just wanted to tell my story about how a small-town kid's dreams came true, largely thanks to the grandmother who raised me."

So what does the future hold? Damizza says, "I'm working with iL2M, Sarkis and his team of genius programmers and business people on a social network and internet radio platform that re-invents how people access music and engage on the web. This will be my most enjoyable work. I'm exactly Where I Wanna Be!"
