North Bay Resources Inc. (NBRI) Achieves Successful Breakthrough Into Big Bend Section of Black Channel

SKIPPACK, PA, United States, via eTeligis Inc., 06/10/2014 - - North Bay Resources Inc. (OTCQB: NBRI) ("North Bay" or the "Company") is pleased to report that access to the Big Bend section of the Black Channel has been achieved, as the Big Bend Bypass Raise has broken through into the Black Channel gravels.

The Big Bend section of the Black Channel is the area of the Ruby Mine where we believe the most spectacular nuggets ever to come out of the California Mother Lode were recovered by C.L. Best in the period just prior to when the Ruby was ordered closed by the US government during WWII. To the best of our knowledge, no mining has occurred in this area since the 1940's. Prior operators principally worked the southern section of the Black Channel in the area of the 109 Raise, as well as the Lawry Shaft area to the north. The Big Bend lies in between these two locations, and with access to it, several other known mining targets in close proximity to the Big Bend also become available to us, including the areas known as the Pilot Channel, Sally's Alley, and the Mt. Vernon Channel.

The Big Bend Bypass Raise is now being securely linked and integrated into the existing Black Channel workings, and will provide a direct connection and accessway between the main Ruby Tunnel haulageway and the upstream Black Channel workings just north of the Big Bend area.

About The Ruby Gold Project

The Ruby Mine, a/k/a the Ruby Gold Project, is a fully-permitted underground placer and lode mine located near Downieville in Sierra County, California that is known to have produced over 350,000 ounces of gold since the 1850's, and which is considered to be part of the northern extension of the historic Mother Lode system. The Ruby Property covers approximately 2,312 contiguous acres, only a small portion of which has been explored to date. The property consists of the subsurface mineral rights of two patented claims totaling approximately 435 acres and 59 unpatented claims containing approximately 1,877 acres. The equipment, fixed assets, and infrastructure in place include a 1,000 yard per day placer wash plant, 50-ton per day quartz mill, 6,000 feet of tracked haulage, and related support equipment needed for underground mining operations. The property also features an excellent system of roads, is accessible via paved highway from Reno or Sacramento, has abundant water and timber available for mining purposes, and has PG&E power available on-site. For further information on the Ruby Mine, please visit the Ruby page on the North Bay website at http://www.northbayresources.com/ruby/.
